Printed Glass - Overview

Ceramic Printing has a number of advantages compared to the more conventional screen printing. The largest advantage is that Ceramic Printing can be used on external surfaces as it is UV stable. For many architects and designers this is a huge consideration and is one of the many reasons JELD-WEN Glass went with the latest in Ceramic Print technology.

Imagination materialises into unique and lasting form

Printing on glass is an innovative concept, now available for clear, tinted and low iron glass. It’s a process where a graphic design or solid colour, in all of its permutations, can be applied to one side of the glass surface. Put simply, it’s a UV stable, full colour, ceramic print process with a superior print quality of 720dpi.

Not only is this technology a first in the Australian market, but when you combine this capability with an IGU or Custom Laminate the possibilities of where this can be used really are limited only by the imagination.

Applications

Suitable for both internal and external applications, Printed Glass can be used anywhere glass design is considered. Printed Glass can also be laminated or double glazed, to meet design and energy requirements. Endless possibilities for Printed Glass include:

  • Windows
  • Partitioning
  • Splashbacks
  • Showerscreens
  • Balustrades
  • Feature Panels
  • Glass Doors

Bringing stories to life on glass is an inspirational journey that can be as simple as a graphic representation of a brand icon, right through the re-creation of an historical work of art.
