Located in the Embarcadro Center in San Fransisco these large scale murals titled, "San Francisco's Evolving Waterfront", depict the layers of history surrounding the San Fransico port. The digital composites of historic photographs, illustrations, and drawings were digitally printed by Western States Glass directly onto the glass with ceramic inks. The artists, Troy Corliss and Elin Christopherson, opted for this method of glass printing because it provided the durability needed in the exposed marine environment, it eliminated the common issue of delamination, and they could achieve the high level of detail needed for such a short viewing distance.
